Charlie Hartwell is the Managing Partner of Bridge Builders Collaborative, a group of highly successful investors who have been investing in start-up companies in the space of mental health, consciousness, and spirituality. Some of their investments include Pear Therapeutics, Insight Timer, Headspace, and Happify Health. A Harvard Business School graduate, Charlie has served and led organizations in 14 different industries, including starting a nonprofit in the slums of Kenya in 1986 that has now served health care to several million patients.
Maureen Pelton, MSSW, is a social scientist and spiritual teacher with 36 years of professional experience as a Holistic Psychotherapist, Executive Coach, Organizational Consultant, Adjunct Faculty, and Group Facilitator. Maureen is a teacher on Insight Timer, and is a Certified Advanced Practitioner of Quantum Neuro Reset Therapy, QNRT™, and is a partner of Bridge Builders Collaborative

- Maureen grew up feeling like she really did not belong on the planet; her family treated her like there was something wrong with her; she felt deeply spiritual and struggled to fit it
- When she was 21 she went in for a surgery and was told she could die, or be paralyzed; she prayed and had a spiritual experience and had a teaching about the universe; she came back in ecstatic joy
- In college she still didn't fit in and started reading all the spiritual books; Deepak, Wayne Dyer, A Course in Miracles; at some point the spirit voice told her enough with the books…you get it
- Charlie grew up doing everything in the “right” path, the right college, the right job, the right wife; in his 40's he discovered that those rights were all wrong
- Started investing in businesses to promote mindfulness and meditation 10 years ago and married Maureen
- Addiction is usually found in people with 1) past trauma and 2) people who are isolated a from people; humans need connection and healing from past trauma
- Maureen says our mental health system works to help people deal with the unacceptable; not heal or process past trauma
