Kelly Glover launched her media career in 2001 and has since worked her way up the entertainment industry ladder from intern (Miramax) to agency owner. She started podcasting in 2006 prior to attending The Australian Television and Radio School’s elite commercial radio broadcasting program (AFTRS) after which she landed her own syndicated radio show (New FM/ Super Radio Network). Kelly’s track record includes working as an entertainment reporter on the red carpets in Hollywood (Zap2it), a talent agent (Mollison Keightely), and award-winning branded podcast producer (Mamamia/ Westpac). In 2016, Kelly launched the boutique bi-coastal podcast agency, The Talent Squad, that works with an array of globally recognized brands including Spartan Race, Universal Music, Showpo, Plann, Megatraxx, and Health Lab.

  • Kelly grew up in a suburb 2 hours north of Sydney Australia, she flies south for the winter to escape the cold weather
  • 64 people in her class; she knew everyone in her class and in the whole school; separated male/female and wore school uniforms
  • There was mandatory extra circular activities in Australia, so everyone had to pick a sport and a non-sport
  • Went to college for about month and dropped out; then applied to the local university doing a communications degree because she grew up watching US TV
  • Went to Michigan as a camp counselor; got picked up as a ceramics teacher at a Jewish Summer Camp; got switched to arts and crafts
  • Did a college exchange program in Ohio; ended up transferring to Ohio University and graduated there 3 years later
  • Snail mailed all the big shows of the time most of them in New York; but the one she got was in Los Angeles at Miramax
  • Did another internship with Miramax in London for a summer in Oxford Circus; met Harvey Weinstein
  • Ended up working at a Hollywood Video store in LA, not nice at all
  • Eventually end up back in Australia and got a job working in a talent agency
  • Did a course in community radio and did some improv on the side; applied to the National Radio school who only takes 10 people per year–got IN!
  • Got a job as a full time radio announcer; there was a chicken outside the studio of the “country” radio station
  • Next radio gig was a syndicated love song dedication show
  • Finally got the O1 Visa doing a show in the states; that's the visa for “Aliens of extraordinary abilities”
  • Correction: Vroom Vroom Veer started in 2015, my “other” podcast started in 2014, so no…I don't have 15 years of podcasting experience
